At Starlight Baptist Church of Santa Ana, we endeavor to daily live the words of Jesus, the Christ, when He said:
with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment,
and the second is like unto it,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Loving our neighbors as ourselves means showing genuine care for others, no matter who they are or where they come from. It’s about reaching out with open hearts and helping hands, lifting others up when they fall, and rejoicing with them in their victories.
At Starlight, we strive to live this daily by serving our community and offering encouragement to anyone who walks through our doors.
When we love as Christ loves, we become examples of His mercy and grace in a world that often feels divided and cold. Our faith becomes active, not just spoken, as we put love into action through prayer, service, and forgiveness. This way of living draws others closer to God, not by force, but by the warmth of His Holy and Loving Spirit, shining through us.
Every act of love, no matter how small, is a reflection of God’s presence within us. Whether it’s offering a kind word, lending a listening ear, or giving to someone in need, these simple gestures honor the commandment to love one another. At Starlight, we believe that when we love like this, we become a light of hope to others searching for peace and belonging.
